Thursday 25th June was a bright sunny day. The ground was still soggy from yesterday's constant rain, so we didn't go far. Instead, we took down the surround that protected the big tree next door to our nursery. There is no horse grazing there now, so the surround is not needed. It didn't take long.
Brute force and ignorance, coupled with energy and determination had the rails down, nails removed, wood stowed away for future use and posts ready for removal in short order. We may cut the posts off below ground level or we may use a warratah remover. Morning tea and chat were early.
The visit the previous day by the Hillcrest Garden Club was a topic of conversation since the constant rain meant that their tour of our nursery was brief. However, a selection of our videos filled in the time nicely and provided ammunition for questions and discussion, and the visit rated as a success for all.
The board on the ground marks the location of the park bench that is going to be installed soon.
