Thursday, 16th October, and we've finally been able to get around to planting on the paddock above Riding for the Disabled. They don't use it any more, as the land is positively soggy, and the Council asked us to plant it rather than have their mower struggle to mow it and get stuck in the process. It's late for planting, but we're relying on the copious water supply to keep the plants in good health over the summer.
We're going to test some sprays on the convolvulus which covers almost the entire area. That has to be attended to before next year's planting season. We have sprayed some small areas for planting this year, but that's as far as we can go at present.
We disturbed some wildlife. This Aussie import was most annoyed with us. She had a nest very close by.
