The Waipa District Council wanted to put a track through this area for public use. The land is wet and boggy, with a little stream running through it. We could manage well enough when we were planting the area, but for public use, something better than 2 old planks was required for crossing the stream and the boggy ground on either side of it.

This bridge is the result of a good deal of thought and collaboration between the Council's parks staff, the Lions Club, the Tree Trust and the contractor who built and installed it..
