Lola Silcock Park in Cambridge (more)
This video is a compilation of photos showing the park's development. It spans some six years. The plantings have matured nicely, but convolvulus and ivy are on-going problems. Convolvulus holds the riverbank together and invades this riverside park as climate change encourages growth.
Lola Silcock Park in Cambridge is a big park. Its narrowness between the town and the river belies its length. It goes from Cambridge Primary School's grounds to Settlers Track, which takes you under the High Bridge.
Lola Silcock Park in Cambridge has two levels, and although the upper track can be rough, the lower one is good walking.
Here are some of the International Baccalaureate students from St. Peter's School working on their Community Service requirement. It's April, too early for reliable weather for planting, so they're spreading mulch instead. As usual, they did an excellent job. By the way, the music has a theme in common.
